Dengue, a viral disease transmitted to humans by the bite of infected Aedes mosquitoes, has experienced a significant increase due to globalization and the spread of vectors. This disease is prevalent in about 100 tropical and subtropical countries, representing a major public health challenge worldwide. Dengue prevention and control strategies seek to reduce its transmission through vector control programs, community involvement initiatives, and innovative approaches such as biological control using natural predators and genetic modification of mosquitoes.
